We are pleased to announce that the NWPC has contracted with Diosa Communications to offer Caucus Members and Friends a webinar on the basics of using Facebook and Twitter to grow your Caucus chapters! This webinar, targeted to beginner and intermediate users of these two important social media technologies, is limited to the first 50 registrants, at a price of just $30 per person. This webinar begins with an explanation on the difference between Facebook Profiles, Groups and Pages and then quickly moves into a click-by-click demonstration on how to successfully set up and design a Facebook Page for your chapter that will drive traffic to your website, recruit new e-mail newsletter subscribers, and engage potential new donors on Facebook. The webinar shows click-by-click how to add and edit “Apps” and highlights what Apps are best for nonprofit organizations.
Then we move on to a general introduction to Twitter and a demonstration of how nonprofits can use the site to increase their supporter base, website traffic, e-mail newsletter subscribers, online donors, and overall visibility on the Internet. Much more than a site for pushing news, Twitter is very much about participating in online conversations, being authentic, and having personality. The webinar demonstrates in real-time how to successfully Tweet, ReTweet and RePly. In addition, the webinar showcases five must-use Twitter Apps and how they can be used by your organization to launch innovative Twitter campaigns. The webinar also shows click-by-click how to successfully set-up and custom-design a Twitter profile for your organization, discusses best and worst practices, and features nonprofit organizations that are excelling in their use of Twitter.
The webinar will be given by Heather Mansfield, creator of the Nonprofit Organizations Facebook Page, the Nonprofit Organizations Twitter Profile, the Nonprofit Organizations MySpace, the Nonprofit Organizations YouTube Channel, and the Web 2.0 for Nonprofit Organizations LinkedIn Group. She also blogs at Nonprofit Tech 2.0. To date, Heather has given over 300 Webinars and trainings on how nonprofit organizations can successfully utilize social media and mobile technology.
This webinar is packed with practical, how-to information and lasts 90 minutes. There will be a 5-minute break half way into the presentation and Q&A is done via Chat at the end of the webinar. Attendees are provided very comprehensive notes of the webinar within 24 hours of the presentation.
