CA Women’s State Appointment Project
Did you know that YOU can serve in the new Gubernatorial Administration?
NWPC CA is sick of hearing the excuse “there were no qualified women”, and I’m sure you are too! That is why we’ve partnered with California Women Lead and numerous other women’s, business, political, professional, academic, government and non-profit organizations to ensure that at least 50% of the more than 3,000 appointed positions in the new Gubernatorial Administration go to qualified women. Find out how you can apply!
The goal of the non-partisan California Women’s State Appointment Project is to compile resumes of qualified women for appointed office, then present these to the new Governor and the transition team to assist in more equitable appointment practices – and make sure women make up at least 50% of the appointed positions. You can fill out an application online through October 15th. Simply visit: http://www.cawomenlead.org/cwap/preform.html to get started!
NWPC CA will be holding a Women’s Appointment Training session on Saturday, October 9th in Fresno at the NWPC CA 2010 Biennial Conference: Meet, Train, WIN! All interested women are invited to attend. Click here for more information about the conference.
