The Exceptional Merit Media Awards (EMMAs) were created by the National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) to honor and reward journalists and media outlets (radio, television, print and the internet) that inform and educate the public about critical issues that impact women’s lives. EMMAs is attended by celebrities, awardees, prominent members of media outlets and NWPC members across the US. Tofind out more about the event click here and download a submission form here. 

The 2010 EMMAs will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Cornell Club in New York City from 6 -8 PM, and is dedicated to the memory of Liz Carpenter – a journalist, feminist, press secretary for Lyndon & Lady Bird Johnson, and co-founder of NWPC.  Submissions for the awards can be made until July 22nd for EMMA’s.  Click here for a submission form. The state caucus which recruits the largest number of entries will win a ticket to attend the EMMAs.
