Education & Training
NWPC CA has years of experience in training. NWPC CA’s goal is to increase the number of women in all aspects of political life. Today, we are a multicultural, intergenerational and multi-issue grassroots organization dedicated to increasing women’s participation in the political process, regardless of political affiliation, and creating a true women’s political power base to achieve equality for all women, with members and chapters throughout the state. Through our 501c3 Women’s Leadership fund, we prepare women for the task of shaping the future of America.
Our research has shown that when women run for office, they win as often as men do. What we must do is recruit more women to run, and train them to win.

Upcoming Women Candidates Training
NWPCCA, in conjunction with the Women’s Caucus of the California Democratic Party and the Newport Beach Democratic Women’s Club, will be hosting a Women Candidates Training in Newport Beach on September 18th. The focus of the training will be on encouraging women to run for local office and to help train women to work on political campaigns.
The trainers will be coming from the CA Democratic Party and will cover these topics:
How to Get Out and Let People Know You’re Running
How to Raise the Money You’ll Need to Run an Effective Campaign
Developing a Messaging that Resonates with Voters
How to Get Your Message Out to the Press and to Voters Using Conventional Methods as well as New Media
Although the trainers are from the Democratic Party, the training includes information that can be used by any female candidate running for office or wanting to work on any political campaign.
The lunch break will include a panel with locally elected women discussing why they ran, the costs (financial and otherwise) involved, how they won, lessons they learned, etc.
Stay tuned for more details and registration information.
